Other Worlds

I just finished watching Jan Kounen's visionary documentary, "Other Worlds". I was completely blown away. The documentary was about "Ayahuasca Shipibo science," with ayahuasca being the prodigal amalgam of chacruna and the ayahuasca vine and the Shipibos being the tribe who studies its nature (In fact, the Shipibos' culture is constructed around the insights they glean from the ayahuasca trance---their textiles are adorned in the arcane patterns they have received via yage visions). There are interviews with such notable figures as Alex Grey and the visionary artist Pablo Amaringo. I highly recommend this documentary to anyone interested in healing, ethnobotany, and psychonautical exploration.
