Presence

All the energy in the universe is available to us when we’re present. Energy depends upon presence. We feel enervated and exhausted when presence is clouded over by fantasies, reveries, pointless internal chatter, useless activities, and unattainable ambitions. All these things are superfluous. Presence is the only thing needed. The universe, the one verse, can only be uttered properly when the present unfolds as it should. The limitless energy-mosaic of the present, a grand unitive field where anything and everything may come and go and pass in a liberated flux of ecstasy, can’t be anywhere but here, now, indivisibly and impeccably with us as we watch a bird, or make love, or play board games. Where else could it go to if all spaces, times, dimensions, and realities are validated by its absolute stature?

All the energy in the universe is available to us when we’re present, and to this I would add that we’re patterns morphing in this limitless present. We’re the center and the surround, a massive gestalt, an epic process that blends visceral, cerebral, intuitive, and pragmatic elements. We only lose track of our all-encompassing presence when we try to break down our experience into discrete blocks and compartments. When we rip asunder the subject and object rapport, when the percept and concept dance is destroyed, life becomes hell. Ghouls and illusions then parade around us. They jeer at us. They laugh at every motivation and desire. It is best to remain in the present for this very reason. The ghouls and illusions dissipate when the presence, the inwardness of the individual and the surround, once again comes to the forefront.

The morphing present is a grand, illustrious pattern, an infinite intelligence’s architectonic crystallization. We must remain in it. It is the eye of the cyclone. Outside the cyclone is a tumultuous blitzkrieg of images, tenses, delusions, fundamentalist philosophies, dogmas, and more. Only sadness and destruction and momentary happiness can come from the cyclone. Its gifts are fleeting.

We must remain in the morphing present, and develop our pattern-process in the sparkling, enigmatic light of presence. Only presence is permanent. Only presence is power. Only presence is wealth.
